Hi, I’m Courtney. Originally I’m from New Orleans, living in Atlanta since 2005. I’m an energetic and creative 29 year old who graduated from university (majoring in fine arts and minoring in psychology). I’m CPR/AED + First Aid certified, have my own car, and have studied child development/psychology. I have been babysitting and nannying on and off since age 15. I also directed summer camp programs for children ages 3-13 professionally at Wills Park Summer Day Camp in Alpharetta. Lastly, I am stepmom to two amazing girls, ages 5 + 7, and have been a part of their lives since ages 2+ 4. I cant say that I have a favorite age group, because all are so wonderful and bring unique perspectives :-) My primary focus is giving your child a safe space to learn, and my secondary is having fun and being creative. I love doing seasonal crafts, baking, pretend play, encouraging independent time, and special outings when requested. We could also take advantage of the local events, shows, and experiences. I am exceptionally patient and kind, and can work with you on any challenges your child may come to. I understand that children, just like adults, have mood swings, and so long as you meet them with respect, patience, and compassion, everything can be resolved without becoming a big deal. A few jokes or singing a silly song goes a long way, too! In my personal time, I am a homemaker, practice yoga, enjoy travel with my husband, or spend time with my mom (my best friend!).
