About Alyvia

Hi! My name is Alyvia, but I go by Lyv. I recently moved to New York City and am a University of Florida journalism student with experience caring for children and teens, primarily ages 2–18. I started volunteering at a summer camp in my hometown in seventh grade and continued for about five years. The summer before college, I was hired as a camp counselor. I helped supervise meal times and field trips, and I learned how to lead activities, keep kids engaged and help everyone feel included and safe. I’ve also babysat for families outside of camp, giving me experience caring for children in their homes. For the past two years, I’ve worked as an instructor with the Universal Cheerleaders Association. I teach camps for athletes of different ages and skill levels, and I’ve often been responsible for groups of 12–40 children on my own. I also coached at a gym in my college town for two years, leading classes for children ages 3–18 and helping them learn new skills and build confidence. I’m patient, energetic, and dependable. I enjoy getting to know each child and finding activities they’re excited about and helping them grow as people all while following their family’s routines!
