Hi! My name is Kara. I'm 31 years old. I have cared for children from newborn age (7 days old), all the way up to 14 years old. I’m relocating to Bryson City, NC from Tampa Bay, FL on April 1st of 2025 in order to gain NC school residency and go back to attending college while working as a career nanny. I started caring for children at the age of 14 and became a career professional nanny in 2012. I do specialize in working with multiples (even have experience with twin infants & twin toddlers)! Providing references & letters of recommendation is not a problem. The qualities I come with are clean background, non smoker, CPR and First Aid certification, safe & reliable transportation, engaging, fun, reliable, great multitasker, pro active, great safety measures, and honesty. Patience is definitely key and children are my passion. In my spare time, I like to read, do anything water related, go hiking, spend time with friends and family, enjoy staying active, and trying new things. So far I have multiple different certificates related to childcare which are respectful care for newborns, infants, and toddlers (which taught both respectful care & different methods of learning & teaching, such as the Montessori Method), certificate of completion for a nanny training focused on car seat safety, in general safety, different types of learning by play, and music and development, foundational newborn care specialist training, advanced newborn care training certificate of completion (this course also focused on how to handle & manage dealing with multiples as well as working with high profile/high net worth families), sleep solutions course ages 0-6 months certificate of completion, Postpartum Doula Certification, Pediatric Sleep Consultant certification and multiple other early childhood certifications!
