About Mya

Hi, my name is Mya M! I’m 20 years old and will be turning 21 in August. I am currently relocating to the Richmond/Lexington, Kentucky area and am seeking a full-time nanny position with a family that values open communication, mutual respect, and a professional working relationship. I currently work at an early education center in Florida as a Behavioral Technician, where I support children with behavioral and developmental needs while also spending a large portion of my day caring for infants and young children in the classroom setting. I am a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), hold my Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, have completed over 150 hours of Florida DCF training, and am CPR and First Aid certified. My childcare experience began long before my professional career. From ages 15–18, I worked for a family caring for their newborn son from just 3 weeks old. Because he was adopted, he faced unique medical challenges, including a feeding tube, tongue tie, and neonatal withdrawal symptoms. Being trusted with his care taught me invaluable skills in infant care, patience, and advocacy. I continued caring for him until he was two years old and remain incredibly grateful for that experience. Over the years, I have cared for children ranging from newborns through school age, including children with special needs and behavioral challenges. My passion is creating safe, nurturing, and engaging environments where children can learn, grow, and feel loved. I enjoy planning age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, encouraging independence, and building strong relationships with both children and parents. I am currently continuing my education with plans to pursue my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Child development and helping children reach their full potential have always been at the heart of everything I do, and I would love the opportunity to become a trusted and dependable part of your family’s village.
