About Kelis

Hi! My name is Kelis, and I’m 19 years old. I’m Haitian and Dominican, and caring for children has always been something I genuinely love. I come from a big family with nine siblings, so I’ve been around babies and kids my whole life. My youngest siblings are 7 months and 10 months old, so I’m very comfortable caring for infants and understand the attention, patience, and love they need. I started babysitting when I was around 12 years old while my mom worked night shifts at the hospital. Since then, I’ve cared for newborns, infants, toddlers, and older children, including children with disabilities. I also volunteered in the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church of Orlando, where I enjoyed creating a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for kids. Parents describe me as patient, dependable, caring, and responsible. I love keeping children engaged through arts and crafts, coloring, reading books, playing games, outdoor activities, and helping with homework. I enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and finding activities they’ll truly enjoy. My goal is to make sure every child feels safe, happy, loved, and comfortable while you’re away, so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. I treat every child with the same care and attention I’d want for my own family. I look forward to meeting you and your family, and I’d love the opportunity to care for your little ones!
