About Serena
Hi! My name is Serena, and caring for children has always been more than a job to me it’s my passion. I currently work as a Behavior Interventionist and previously worked as a Teaching Assistant, where I’ve had the opportunity to support children with a wide range of learning, behavioral, and developmental needs. I’m also pursuing a degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education minor because my goal is to make a lasting difference in children’s lives. I have several years of experience working with children in schools, childcare settings, and through babysitting. I have extensive experience working with children on the autism spectrum and understand the importance of patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and meeting each child where they are. I enjoy creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that helps every child feel understood, confident, and successful. I’ve cared for children of different ages, helping with daily routines, homework, meal preparation, playtime, bedtime, and fun activities that encourage learning and creativity. I would describe myself as compassionate, nurturing, dependable, and calm under pressure. While I’m open to caring for children of all ages, I have a special place in my heart for infants and babies. I love being part of those early milestones and providing the gentle care, attention, and encouragement they need to grow and thrive. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, loved, accepted, and valued for who they are. My goal is to build a trusting relationship with your family and provide care with the same kindness, respect, and dedication that I would give my own family.
