About Mia
My name is Mia D, and I have several years of experience working with children in a variety of settings, including childcare, after-school programs, summer camps, and behavioral therapy. Throughout my career, I’ve developed strong skills in building positive relationships with children and families while creating safe, engaging, and supportive environments. I currently work as a Behavior Technician, where I implement behavior support plans, collect data on client progress, and help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills. Prior to this, I worked as a Youth Development Leader, planning and leading educational activities, building positive relationships with students and parents, and encouraging teamwork and personal growth. I’ve also worked as a 1:1 Aide and Camp Counselor, providing individualized support to children with sensory and behavioral needs, as well as a Part-Time Educator and Youth Development Professional, where I delivered curriculum, supervised children, and promoted positive behavior. In addition to my professional experience, I’ve worked as a nanny since 2021, helping families with daily routines, meal preparation, educational activities, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. I hold certifications in CPR/First Aid, Mandated Reporting, the Instructional Aide Exam, and I’m a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). I’m passionate about helping children learn, grow, and reach their full potential. I’m known for being dependable, patient, organized, and having a positive attitude. I enjoy working as part of a team and am always eager to continue learning and developing my skills while making a positive impact on the children and families I serve.
