About Mariah

Hello! My name is Mariah, and I am an 18-year-old recent high school graduate with a genuine passion for working with children. I have been babysitting since I was in sixth grade, giving me years of hands-on experience caring for children of various ages and personalities. Throughout the years, I have developed strong skills in patience, communication, creativity, and responsibility, all of which I bring into every family I work with. For the past two years, I have worked at Liberty Elementary School through the Career Technical Education (CTE) program, where I have gained valuable experience in a classroom setting five days a week. In this role, I assisted teachers with daily classroom activities, supported students with their learning, helped maintain an organized environment, and built positive relationships with both children and staff. This experience has strengthened my ability to manage groups of children, adapt to different situations, and provide encouragement and support when needed. In addition to my classroom experience, I participated in Cross Age, an outdoor physical education program with first graders three times a week. Through this program, I planned and led games, promoted teamwork and positive behavior, and ensured that children stayed safe while having fun. Working closely with kindergarten and first-grade students has taught me how to understand children's individual needs, keep them engaged, and create a nurturing environment where they feel comfortable and valued. I am dependable, energetic, and dedicated to providing exceptional care for every child I work with. Whether it's helping with homework, organizing crafts and activities, preparing simple meals, supervising playtime, or maintaining routines, I strive to create a safe, fun, and supportive atmosphere for children to learn and grow. As I prepare to begin the next chapter of my life after high school, I look forward to continuing to do what I love most: caring for children!
