About Kristin

Hi! I am an early childhood educator with over 30 years of experience in the field. My first professional sitter job was at 16 with two twins who were set in my lap and both needed bottles…. and I was hooked! Since then I have been a Nanny (I worked with my most recent part time family for over ten years!), a caregiver for all ages of children (specializing in infants and toddlers), and have child care center experience serving children birth -five. I also have experience in center administration, coaching, training, and higher education teaching (I do this currently), so I have spent a lot of time helping to ensure that all families are receiving quality, responsive care from their caregivers across multiple settings. Overall I believe in the village it takes to support our communities and that children deserve our highest attention and support! My husband and I just moved across the county as empty nesters, and life has opened up a myriad of options. We may try to start over and adopt or foster, and I may look into different areas of the childcare and education field. But one thing this move has opened up for me is a chance to go back to some direct care roles, which is why I got into this field in the first place! If you are looking for a responsible educator who can provide love and responsive care, fun developmentally appropriate learning opportunities through play, and support for the whole family, I’d love to meet you! Personally, I am a nature-lover who enjoys walking, hiking, camping in my Aliner, and just being outside. I am a bookworm, a football fan, and a music junkie across many genres and decades.
