About Jessica
Hi! My name is Jess, and I’m a caring, patient, and dependable sitter located in Forest Hills with over five years of childcare experience. I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting children with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs. When caring for children, I take time to learn their personalities, interests, and routines. I keep them engaged with activities such as arts and crafts, coloring, reading, storytelling, board games, imaginative play, and games based on their favorite characters, shows, or interests—including Roblox. I also provide homework help and support children with reading, writing, communication, social skills, and other age-appropriate learning activities. I use patience, encouragement, and positive reinforcement to help children express their feelings, follow routines, take turns, transition between activities, and work through difficult moments. I’m also happy to help with simple snacks or meals, daily and bedtime routines, and keeping children’s play areas organized. My goal is to create a safe, fun, and comfortable environment where every child feels understood and can be themselves. I value open communication with parents and will always treat their children with kindness and respect. Alongside my childcare work, I’m currently completing my English degree at Queens College and am happy to provide care in homes with pets.
