About Beni
I am a 33 year old, one of eight children (a lot of nieces and nephews!). While I haven’t received or accepted payment for watching my siblings kiddos, I’d still consider my last few years with them as experience. Also had spent a few fall and spring seasons volunteering weekly as a Free Arts Instructor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, via Catholic Charities. I was in the same group, the 7-12 year olds, and was amazed at the growth and the people the were becoming. I also have experience in trauma-informed care, am CPR, BLS certified. I’ve worked extensively with those struggling with mental health via a few years as a Mental Health Worker in psychiatry at HCMC. I spent many hours on 1:1s, and have grown very patient and introspective of the experience of the person I’m caring for.
