About Ariam

Hello! I am 32 years old, born and raised in Southern California. I lived in Arizona for 7 years in which I received my two Associate Degrees, worked, and traveled. After, I lived in England to obtain not only my postpartum doula certification but to also gain an understanding of how being a Nanny/ Au Pair in Europe compares to the United States. I was an Au Pair/ Nanny in England and Spain. Overall, I have cared for dozens of children and can provide numerous references over the last decade. I have experience with a variety of children including: newborns to children age 12, twin newborns to twins age 3, children with ADHD, children with Autism, children with different physical attributes. I have taken care of babies in the NICU volunteering as a baby cuddler. I have worked with as many as 10 children at a time for family events. I have travelled with families both locally and internationally. I have done overnights, school runs & pick ups, assisted with homework, cooked, cleaned. I have worked in a Montessori classroom setting. I have several certificates in regards to children such as Child Nutrition & Cooking, Everyday Parenting, Understanding Child Development, and Children Acquiring Literacy Naturally. I have been qualified as a Postpartum Doula and can teach sign language to babies as young as 9 months old. I love to travel, explore and learn. In my free time, I enjoy going to the parks, the beach, museums, or travel to different places. I love to read, take a course, or binge watch a good show. I have a good balance of staying home and being a homebody or being outdoors and exploring nature. I love art and doing art with children. I also like cooking and baking though I can't say I'm incredible at it but it is fun and children love it. I am quiet but outgoing when I'm comfortable, respectful always, and absolutely love children. I speak English and Spanish, and basic sign language. I look forward to speaking :)
