About Anifa

I have worked at multiple childcare and educational settings, gaining experience with children of various ages and developmental levels. My first childcare position was at Little Angels Daycare Center, where I worked as a Teacher Assistant. In this role, I supported lead teachers by following lesson plans, supervising children, assisting with diaper changes, helping with arts and crafts projects, monitoring playtime and nap time, and ensuring a safe and positive learning environment. I also assisted with daily routines, classroom management, and pick-up and drop-off procedures. I also worked with America Reads as a tutor, primarily supporting school-aged children. In this role, I provided academic assistance with homework assignments, reading activities, and classroom projects. I helped students strengthen their learning skills, build confidence in their abilities, and stay engaged in their educational goals while offering encouragement and guidance. Additionally, I have worked through the Tandem app as a substitute teacher at various childcare centers and daycare facilities. Through Tandem, I have filled both assistant and lead teacher roles when needed, adapting quickly to different classroom environments and age groups. My responsibilities included supervising children, implementing lesson plans, leading activities, maintaining classroom safety, and supporting the daily needs of students and staff. These experiences have strengthened my flexibility, communication, classroom management, and childcare skills.
