About Alissa

I have two years of paid childcare experience working at a charter elementary school with children from kindergarten through fourth grade, and I also occasionally assisted with middle school students. My role involved supporting teachers throughout the school, supervising students, and helping wherever extra assistance was needed. For two months, I independently led three enrichment classes each day, where I supervised groups of children, organized fun and age-appropriate activities, encouraged positive behavior, and made sure every child was safe and engaged. I also cared for students whose parents were running late, keeping them comfortable, entertained, and safe until they were picked up. Working in a school taught me how to be patient, dependable, organized, and adaptable while caring for children with different personalities and needs. I enjoy building positive relationships with kids, keeping them engaged through games, activities, and conversation, and creating an environment where they feel safe and supported. In addition to childcare, I’m happy to help with homework, prepare simple meals and snacks, assist with bedtime routines, and care for families with pets. I also have reliable transportation and pride myself on being punctual, attentive, and communicative. Families can count on me to provide a safe, fun, and caring experience for their children.
