About Ada

Hi my name is Ada! I am an undergraduate student at UCLA studying psychology. I am super passionate about working with children, I have been babysitting for over 10 years with children of all different age ranges. With a lifetime immersed in a large Italian family dynamic, including growing up with a younger brother, younger cousins, and two nieces and three nephews, I bring a natural, deeply rooted intuition for childcare grounded in strong core Italian familial values. Over the last seven years, I have successfully babysat and nannied for 10+ families, expertly managing multi-child households with children varying in ages from 2 to 14. My dedication to children extends well beyond private care into community education and institutional settings. I completed over 100 volunteer hours at the Canal Child Care Center in the Bay Area, providing attentive care for low-income and underprivileged young children aged 3 to 4. In this role, I actively engaged children through play, reading, and English language instruction to support Spanish-speaking families. Additionally, I spent two years from 2019 to 2021 working directly with children at the Bay Area Discovery Museum, further sharpening my ability to facilitate enriching, developmentally appropriate activities for children and their families. Furthermore, my 10-year background attending a Waldorf school and my professional experience as an elementary sewing teacher in 2020 enable me to offer rich creative engagement, including art, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and creative writing. Fluent in English and Italian, with high proficiency in Spanish, I am also uniquely equipped to provide comprehensive academic support, homework help, and tutoring. I am fully prepared to manage household logistics. I provide reliable transportation using my own Toyota RAV4, ensuring safe transit for school, activities, and errands. Comfortable with pets, light housekeeping, and flexible scheduling for both regular routines and occasional date nights, I am deeply passionate about fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for every family I work with.
