About Makenna

Hi! My name is Makenna, and I am 18 years old. I am currently enrolled in college, where I am double majoring in Liberal Studies and Psychology. My long-term goal is to work with children, and I am passionate about helping them learn, grow, and build confidence. I currently work as an Instructional Assistant for the Redding School District, where I support students in the classroom, assist with educational activities, and help create a positive learning environment. Although my position will be ending soon, the experience has strengthened my ability to work with children of different ages, personalities, and learning styles. I enjoy helping children with schoolwork, encouraging creativity, and making learning fun. Beyond academics, I love spending time outdoors and believe children benefit from exploring nature, staying active, and engaging in hands-on activities. Whether it’s helping with homework, playing games, doing crafts, reading stories, or going on outdoor adventures, I strive to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for every child. I am dependable, patient, caring, and enthusiastic, and I look forward to helping families by providing quality care and positive experiences for their children.
