About Kristin
I’m an educator and childcare professional with a background in early childhood education, behavioral health, special education, and child development. I have experience working with children with a wide range of learning, communication, and developmental needs, including autistic and nonspeaking children. My approach is patient, attentive, and individualized. I focus on creating a safe environment where children can be themselves while still having clear routines, expectations, and opportunities to learn. My professional background includes early childhood education, tutoring, behavioral support, crisis intervention, and healthcare. I hold an Illinois early childhood teaching credential and have additional training in behavioral health, crisis intervention, and sexual-violence prevention. I’ve worked with children both in educational settings and one-on-one, and I’m comfortable supporting children who need extra help with communication, transitions, sensory needs, attention, or emotional regulation. I believe childcare can be both nurturing and enriching. Depending on the child’s age and interests, I’m happy to incorporate reading, science, creative activities, outdoor play, games, homework help, or everyday opportunities to build independence and problem-solving skills. Most importantly, I treat children with respect. I want parents to feel confident that their child is safe, understood, and genuinely engaged while they’re in my care.
