About Lia
I took two years of child development classes in high school, including Child Psychology and Careers with Children. These classes taught me how children learn and grow, how to communicate with them, and how to create a safe and positive environment. I also babysat my baby cousins, ages 3 and 5, for two years and volunteered for one year at United Families, where I worked with young children ages 2-5. I helped supervise the children, assisted with homework and activities, played games with them, helped prepare crafts and classroom materials, and made sure they were safe throughout the day. This experience helped me become patient, responsible, and comfortable working with children of different ages.
