About Brittney

I have recently obtained my Bachelors of Arts from California State University, East Bay, majoring in Human Development and Early Childhood Development after studying at Saddleback College where I earned my Associates Degree in those subjects. I believe what I have obtained qualifies me to be an addition to all children around me due to the knowledge I have gained throughout my education and personal experiences regarding the physical, cognitive and emotional development of children as they age, as well as my current and well established employment of child care. I feel I am successful when joining families and/or communities due to the abilities of my coordination. I am a great communicator and take pride in being organized, which is ultimately helpful with the assistance of daily routines within growing children and families. My ultimate goal is to grow my career in childhood development, to provide dedicated childcare support and to be a safe space, along with a positive influence while leading our youth. I was a full time temporary infant nanny for one baby girl (6 months) and have been a nanny for two young girls (ages 7 and 9) during my studies the last four years but currently only have them a few hours Wednesday and Thursday nights out of the week so I am available for any full time opportunities. While being new to “professional child care”, I have experience with children of all ages. I am also an auntie of two nephews who I spend, not some, but all of my quality time with! (ages 4 years and 6 months). I grew up with a younger sister with a ten year age gap so I spent a lot of my teen years looking after her as well! I have my own transportation and I am CPR + First Aid certified. I'm skilled in meal/snack prep, bottle making, diaper changes, after school routines, night routines and light housekeeping/laundry. I'm patient, enjoy building connections with kiddos and comfortable with all kinds of personalities. I am very creative and very expressional through art, so I would love to combine my love for kiddos and creativity, whether that be crafting or tackling school projects! I am ready to create a fun and supportive environment helping kids learn and grow, gaining valuable experience while supporting your family's needs!
