About Makiah

Hi! My name is Makiah, and I have been caring for children since my sophomore year of high school. Over the years, I’ve worked with children of all ages through babysitting, teaching swim lessons, church nursery care, and community bus ministry. I have been a swim instructor for the past two years and am BLS CPR certified. I have also completed coursework in child development and recently finished my nursing prerequisites at Butte College. I’m currently waiting for acceptance into the nursing program while continuing to take classes this semester. In addition to babysitting, I’ve volunteered in my church nursery for the past two years and have served in a children’s bus ministry for four years, helping care for and mentor kids in the community. I truly enjoy creating a safe, fun, and positive environment where children feel comfortable and cared for. Whether we’re playing games, reading books, helping with homework, or sticking to a bedtime routine, I strive to make every family feel confident that their children are in good hands.
