About Mia

My name is Mia G, and I am an incoming college student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I recently graduated from Yuma Catholic High School and graduated with my Associates of Science in Arizona Western College! I am responsible, patient, and dependable, with a strong interest in healthcare and working with children. I enjoy roles where I can support others, stay organized, and create a positive and safe environment. I am also CPR and First Aid Certified! I have volunteer experience at the Yuma County Children’s Museum, where I assisted with childcare-related activities. My responsibilities included setting up educational games and activities, helping decorate and prepare event spaces, supervising and engaging with children during play, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I worked closely with families and children of different ages, which helped me develop strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to stay attentive in busy and fast-paced settings. Through this experience, I discovered how much I enjoy interacting with kids, keeping them entertained, and helping create a fun and structured environment where they can learn and play safely. I take pride in being reliable, following instructions carefully, and being someone others can trust with responsibility. Outside of volunteering and academics, I enjoy activities such as tennis, creative projects, and spending time with friends and family. I bring a calm, positive attitude and strong work ethic to everything I do, and I am always willing to learn and improve.
