About Rikia
Hello! My name is Rikia, but I go by Kia. I’m excited to be part of Wyndy! I currently work at St. Peter's Child Development Center, where I've been for the past year and a half. I primarily care for infants (ages 2 months to 1-1.5 years) but have extensive experience working with children from infancy to 5 years old. Beyond my professional role, I have years of hands-on childcare experience with my own family. I have cared for my 8-year-old nephew and 4-year-old niece since birth, and I currently babysit my 6-month-old cousin. These experiences have strengthened my skills in nurturing, supervising, and engaging children of all ages. I recently earned my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (December 2023) and am currently preparing for my board exam. In the meantime, l'm looking for additional income through babysitting. Note: While I love children, I am not pet-friendly. I'm happy to babysit in homes with pets, but they must be kept in a separate space during my visit. I look forward to working with your family!
