About Dakota

Hi! My name is Dakota K, and I recently graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Human Development and Family Science (HDFS). Through my education, I gained a strong understanding of child development, family relationships, emotional support, and developmentally appropriate care. I am currently preparing to pursue my master’s degree and am looking for a babysitting position in the meantime. I have been babysitting on and off since I was 16, caring for children of various ages for several families in my hometown, as well as a family in Auburn. I also have hands-on experience working at a daycare and at the Early Learning Center at Auburn University. These experiences gave me the opportunity to work with children in a classroom and childcare setting, help with daily routines and activities, and learn how to support children at different developmental stages. I truly enjoy working with children and building positive relationships with them. Whether it’s playing games, doing crafts, spending time outside, helping with routines, or simply being someone they feel comfortable around, I always want the children I care for to feel safe, supported, and happy. I currently have very open availability and am available every day, including daytime hours, evenings, and weekends. I am reliable, caring, patient, and flexible with scheduling. I would love to connect with a family looking for someone they can trust and feel comfortable having around their children!
