Hi! Iβm Mya Leon Iβm a college student whoβs always had a love for children and a natural instinct for caregiving. Iβve helped raise my younger siblings and have cared for kids of all ages in both family and professional settings. I also worked as a party hostess, where I kept children entertained, safe, and engaged during birthday celebrations β an experience that taught me how to manage groups of kids with patience, energy, and fun! When Iβm not babysitting, I love to read, go on walks, stay active, and learn new things β whether thatβs through school, books, or just new experiences. Iβm a very hands-on, positive person, and I enjoy being part of a childβs development through play, learning, and building routines.Iβm responsible, dependable, and genuinely love creating safe and joyful environments for kids. Whether itβs helping with homework, prepping snacks, tidying up, or heading to the park or library, Iβm always happy to support families however I can!

My name is Ximena and I have been nannying professionally for over 15 years! I grew up an only child , however I come from a large family! We always had family events where there was so much going on but the one place everyone would always find me is where all the children were. From a young age I was always interested in childrenβs development. Seeing how we all came from the same upbringing but no child was exactly alike fascinated me. Growing up in Clifton I felt connected to my Latino heritage and I was exposed to many different backgrounds. Respecting others' cultural differences taught me alternative styles of parenting. I applied what I grew up seeing but I would take parts of other teachings and implement them in my babysitting as well. Nature vs Nurture has always come to mind when working with children ofdifferent backgrounds and led me to pursue a degree in psychology at Rutgers University-Newark. My babysitting journey began before going into high school where I was a full time babysitter during the summer to two girls and one boy ages 7, 9, and 11, and continued throughout the school year where I provided before/ after school care to 3 families in my neighborhood. After graduation I met this amazing family with two boys ages 4 and 8 that I worked with for 5 years. My responsibilities were ,meal prep ,school pick upstutoring ,incorporate Spanish, transportation, bath supervision, and bedtime prep. While parents were away for business I would stay with the boys at their home for a few weeks out of the year. My responsibilities during overnight stays included those aforementioned as well as getting theboys up and ready, preparing breakfast/lunches ,prepare dinner ,check homework, and bedtime prep. The boys had a very busy schedule however on our down time playing was a must, from playing soccer to science experiments to crafts etc.I went on to work with several other families as well as a nannying agency who I am still currently with.
