Hello! I'm Aurora, and I'm passionate about supporting the earliest stages of childhood development. With a Master's in Elementary Education from the University of Oregon and over five years of hands-on experience caring for infants and toddlers, I bring both heart and expertise to every family I work with.My journey with little ones began at the Vivian Olum Child Development Center, where I spent three years working with children from birth to four years old, from 2007 - 2010. More recently, I've taught in 3rd-6th grade classrooms in the Phoenix, AZ, and Portland-Metro area, from 2012-2019. I’m 18 years old and have lots of experience caring for kids, growing up with a younger brother, babysitting a family with two young children since I was 12, and teaching “Learn to Skate” ice skating classes for toddlers as young as 2. I have Type 1 diabetes myself, so I’m comfortable handling medical needs like EpiPens, inhalers, and medications. I’m fun but responsible, happy to help with light chores or pets, and make sure kids in my care are always safe, happy, and engaged!
