My name is Millie and I’m a recent college graduate who’s new to the Ridgefield/Vancouver area!I’ve spent the last 4.5 years working at Canopy Village, a residential care facility where I supported kids and teens with a wide range of needs and ages. I love working with kids because it’s rewarding to help them feel safe and understood while having fun.I’m also an aunt to two little boys (currently 2 & 4), so I’ve got plenty of hands-on experience at home too! I’m certified in First Aid and CPR, and I’m trained in trauma-informed care, behavior de-escalation, car seat installation, and safe sleep practices (the ABCs) thanks to regular in-service trainings at Canopy Village. Following that position, I worked as a private nanny caring for an 18-month-old. I have also spent time assisting with an elementary art program for grades K-5. I am CPR and first aid certified and have a reliable vehicle. I am currently employed part time at Kootenai Health, where I work as a CNA. I have always loved children. I am the second oldest of 10 grandchildren, and have two little sisters ages 11 and 9 who are my whole world and then some. I have worked in multiple preschools before getting on the nursing track, and have professional experience ranging from 3 months to 6 years, with personal experience from newborn through high school graduation!
