HI !!! my name is Gabriella P I am 19 years old and currently studying psychology at Charleston Southern University. I am from New York but came down to SC for school. I want to be a teacher, I have a strong passion for children and I want to carry that on for myself in a future job. My hobbies are watching sunsets, playing soccer, going to the beach and doing my nails. I love spending time with my family and friends. I do have experience with child care. Back in my senior year of high school, I babysat my local pastors children, ages 7 and 3. That is when I realized I had a passion for children. I starting finding jobs that specifically included children. My mom gave me the idea to work at daycares. Summer of ‘22, I started working at Cinnamon Tree Children’s Center with the UPK class and absolutely loved it. I then had to go due to starting my sophomore year of college. Spring of ‘23, I starting working at Crescent Child Development Center in North Charleston. I was a floater so I was everywhere in the building. From 1-5 year olds. I learned a lot working there and was exposed to new things. I learned a lot more about communication with children. I then left to go back home for the summer. I worked at the same place, Cinnamon Tree, and I was a floater this time. I was in infants, toddler 1 and 2, Daycare, UPK and was a camp counselor. I really enjoyed working there and making a difference in those children’s lives. I always left feeling accomplished and content with myself. I have a 15 month niece who is my pride and joy. Being her aunt has taught me so much about child care.I look forward to meeting you guys!!
