Hello, My name is Alyssa! I have been working in childcare since 2020, ranging from ages 3 months to 13 yrs old.I’ve babysat for friends and family since I was 14 yrs old, but at 18, I worked as a teacher assistant for the Orlando Ballet School through their pre-professional work-study scholarship program. I was responsible for helping the kids get changed for ballet class, use the bathroom, line up on time for parent pickup, and of course assist the main teacher with keeping the class focused, engaged, and having fun! The class ranged from ages 4 to 5 yrs old; by the end of the year, I was trained to teach a class of fifteen kids independently. In addition to working as a teacher assistant, I also worked for LA Fitness in the Kids Klub. The age ranged from 3 months to 13yrs old, with an average occupancy of 20. There I mostly watched over the kids, monitored playtime to ensure it was fun for everyone, helped the kids navigate conflict resolution with others, and did crafts and played games with them. I also kept a detailed log of the parents for drop off and pick up and made sure to notify parents of any accidents or concerns. After my time at LA Fitness, I accepted both a babysitting job and an office job from a parent who knew me from babysitting their kids at LA Fitness’ Kids Klub. The kids were a brother(2) and a sister (5). We had a great time together doing art projects, math problems ( their daughter loved math), baking fun treats, swimming, going to the local park, and dancing to their favorite songs!I also helped this family with parent pick-up and light housekeeping.I felt like a part of this family and am grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of these kids’ lives and contribute to their growth as individuals. I stayed with this family until I relocated to Gainesville, FL and signed with Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency. Through the agency, I’ve spent the past year and a half working with countless families assisting with date nights, overnight shifts, and eventually accepted a full-time position with a family of four. I stayed with this family for a year and helped with a variety of tasks including light housekeeping, bringing in/out the garbage cans, supervising the girls (ages 8 and 11) at activities, prepping lunches, planning activities outside of screen time, tutoring, and managing their weekly schedules. Outside of being a nanny, I am a very focused Pre-physical therapy student, and devote my free time to meeting friends for study dates, curating playlists for long trail runs, dancing, and crocheting custom clothes for my newly launched online business.I hope to meet your family soon!
