My name is Rameez, and I have several years of experience working with children in both preschool and early elementary settings. I’ve worked as a preschool teacher, where I planned fun and educational activities and helped young children develop essential social and learning skills in a safe and nurturing environment. I’ve also worked as a teacher assistant, supporting classroom management, assisting with lesson prep, and providing one-on-one attention to students who needed extra help. I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow, and feel confident, and I bring patience, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility to every family I work with.

Hello! I’m a childcare veteran at this point, have been working with kids since I was a kid myself, and love how creative, inquisitive and excited they are about the world around them. I’ve had a career in the entertainment industry for the past 20 years and I’m looking pivot to something that allows me to be home more, to potentially start a family of my own soon, so looking for a nanny position or babysitting positions to help me get there.I have a newer and reliable car; I love crafts and outdoor activities; I’m a great cook, and have no problem with light housekeeping. :)

I just finished law school and before taking the bar I’m taking some time off to spend with my family. When I was younger I used to babysit for family members before being suggested to others for paid gigs. Children and I seem to get a long pretty well naturally which is why I became very popular in my area for babysitting. I was also a math tutor and homework assistant, for 4 years, for middle and high school students. This is why I have less experience directly sitting as most families decided to take me on as a sitter/tutor, where I helped children navigate online learning spaces during COVID, and helping children with ADHD stay on top of school and homework. I was often given food while working but in cases where parents were gone for long periods of time I also made lunch and/or dinner for the children.

I have been working with children for over 15 years in various settings. I started babysitting in middle school and worked in a daycare, primarily with two-year-olds, in high school. I continued working with kids in early childhood classrooms and as a babysitter and nanny while attending college for early childhood education classes. I graduated with my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education in 2017 and then taught first grade for 2 years, followed by Kindergarten for a few months before leaving to work in various settings outside the public school system. I taught in two different Head Start organizations as a Pre-K teacher for several years, followed by one year teaching Pre-K in a Reggio Emilia school. I worked as a nanny for an agency in a temp/on-call role and worked with one family part-time for several months before relocating to Philly for graduate school. I'm now attending a Master's program for counseling and will be concentrating in play therapy.
