Hi Moms &/or Dads. I am Retonya. I am new to this app but not new to caregiving. I’m hoping to find a permanent family to work with especially when my son goes back to school. I have been a caregiver for over 22+ years with experience in both: a home setting and professional school setting, ie. public schools and preschools/daycares. I raised my siblings while my parents worked to provide. This is what I believe I’m called to do. I’m also studying to be an RBT, I’ve completed training and I’m currently prepping for the final exam. I have over 10 years of experience working with children that have special “ABILITIES”. I don’t like using the word disability. (MY SON USUALLY TAG ALONG FOR JOBS.) He is 4yo and nonverbal. He has Autism so he plays along side other children. It’s hard to get a sitter for him, either people have no knowledge of Autism or they just don’t want to work with a child with special needs. He is the sweetest boy. I left my full time job as a preschool teacher and made caregiving a full time job, to spend more time with my son and to also help other Moms that share the same experience as myself. I’m here Mommas! ❤️💙 I have experience with typical(no special needs) children as well as Atypical children(children with special needs). I have experience with ages newborns-15 years old.
