About Tia

I am writing to express my strong interest in becoming a Nanny. I have spent over 15 years working in early childhood and special education in Oregon and Washington. Over the years, I have learned that the preschool classroom and children is where my true passion lies. I have deep family roots right here in the local area, and I would love nothing more than to bring my experience home and help families. I have specialized in helping diverse learners feel safe, calm, and ready to learn. I am deeply familiar with early learning frameworks like LEAP, the Pyramid Model, and the Second Step curriculum. These tools help me teach young children how to manage their big emotions, navigate transitions, and build confidence. I also make safety a top priority. I keep active first-aid CPR. Whether I am helping a child with their first math and reading concepts, managing a busy transition, or calming a frustrated student, my goal is always to help children learn to be independent and love school. I love to cook and organize, love arts and crafts and adventures in nature.
