About Laney

Hi! My name is Laney, and I'm a junior at the University of Lynchburg, majoring in exercise physiology. I'm responsible, caring, energetic, and I really enjoy working with kids. I've been babysitting since my freshman year of high school and also have four years of gymnastics coaching experience. Through coaching, I've worked with kids for about 15–18 hours a week, which has given me lots of experience keeping kids engaged, encouraging them, and making sure they feel comfortable and supported. I love working with kids because I enjoy getting to know their personalities and finding fun activities to do together. I'm looking for a job where I can be someone families can trust and rely on. I have a reliable car and a valid driver's license, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I'm happy to help with things like playing outside, crafts, games, homework, and morning or bedtime routines. My top three childcare skills would be patience, communication, and keeping kids engaged. One thing I want families to know is that I genuinely care about the kids I work with and always want them to feel safe, happy, and comfortable.
