Hello! My name is Cydney, and I’m a student at Hampton University studying Health Science with aspirations of attending medical school and pursuing a career in healthcare. I’m a caring, responsible, and patient person who genuinely enjoys working with children and creating a safe, fun, and positive environment for them. I have 3+ years of babysitting experience, beginning when I was in high school. I regularly babysat for families in my neighborhood, caring for children of different ages and helping with activities, meals, homework, bedtime routines, and keeping them entertained and comfortable while their parents were away. I have many years of care experience. In addition to my babysitting experience, I have worked at a daycare and as a summer camp counselor which gave me valuable experience caring for and interacting with children in a structured setting. Secondly, I worked as a Home Health Aide for 3–4 years, providing compassionate care and support to women from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities, physical impairments, and older adults who simply need extra help. And lastly, I’m also the president of a nonprofit organization at my university where I’ve mentored children and students ranging from elementary school through high school, helping them grow academically, personally, and socially. I genuinely enjoy working with the youth in my free time, as it makes me happy to see little ones make positive progress in their development. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and someone parents can feel comfortable trusting with their children. I love getting to know each child’s personality and finding fun, age appropriate ways to keep them engaged while making sure they feel safe and supported.
