About Sakai

Hi! I’m Sakai! I’m an experienced nanny and a senior at the University of Utah with several years of childcare experience working with children from newborns through age 14; including children who have more intricate needs and I have gained experience in caring for children with Autism. Most recently, for the past two years, I’ve nannied for a family with four children — 5-year-old twins, a 3-year-old, and an 8-month-old. I regularly care for all four children independently, have traveled with the family multiple times, and have stayed with the kids while their parents are away on weekend trips. Managing four little ones has given me lots of experience balancing different ages, routines, personalities, and needs while keeping everyone happy, safe, and engaged! Before my current position, I worked with several other families, sometimes nannying for multiple families at once and splitting my week between them. I have experience with children ranging from newborns to teenagers and can provide great references from families I’ve worked with. I’m fun, lively, energetic, and genuinely love being present and involved with the kids I care for. I especially enjoy getting kids outside, encouraging creativity, and helping them explore their curiosity beyond screens. Whether that means going on an adventure outside, doing a craft, playing a game, or just being silly together, I love creating days that kids can get excited about. Outside of nannying, I’m an outdoorsy person myself! I love hiking, trail running, camping, traveling, spending time with my dog, Bambi, and going on adventures with my friends and family. I’d love to connect with a family looking for someone dependable, experienced, active, and excited to become a positive part of their kids’ lives!
