About Raquel

I am seeking babysitting opportunities where I can combine my passion for childcare with my strong work ethic and reliable nature. I have several years of experience babysitting for three families, including caring for my neighbors' children, a family friend's baby girl, and my younger brother. I love working with children, as they inspire me with their creativity and curiosity, and I always strive to create a safe and fun environment for them. Professionally, I have gained valuable skills from my roles in healthcare and customer service. As a Physical Therapist Tech at Canyon Physical Therapy in Canyon, TX, I educated patients on therapeutic exercises, monitored rehabilitation progress, set up and maintained therapy equipment, and ensured safety protocols were followed. This experience honed my ability to be attentive, supportive, and proactive. Additionally, as a Cashier at Subway in Los Lunas, NM, I demonstrated financial management, inventory oversight, and excellent customer service skills, emphasizing reliability and professionalism in all interactions. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Sports and Exercise Science from West Texas A&M University in the fall of 2023, where I competed as a student-athlete in cross country and track from 2020-2024. lam now pursuing a master's degree at West Texas A&M University and plan to apply to physical therapy or occupational therapy doctorate programs in California and Texas after graduation. Outside of work and academics, I enjoy running, traveling, baking, and cooking. I was born in Los Angeles, CA, and now reside in New Mexico, though I am currently in California supporting my boyfriend, who is an Olympic runner for ASICS. I also love animals and have four pets: a pug, a husky, and a lab back home, and another husky, Meeka, with me in California. My experiences working with children, both personally and professionally, have taught me the value of patience, creativity, and empathy.
