About Kayla

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I’m a 7th grade English Language Arts teacher with New Caney ISD and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education. Working with children is truly my passion, and I love creating safe, engaging, and positive environments where they can learn, grow, and have fun. I’ve completed over 100 hours of hands-on experience working with children in classrooms, church settings, and volunteer programs. At Huntsville Elementary, I supported a fourth-grade reading class of 65 students, helping manage transitions, lead small groups, and create engaging lessons. At Huntsville Head Start, I worked with preschoolers, assisting with learning centers, play-based activities, and positive behavior support. I’ve also volunteered in my church nursery, caring for infants and toddlers during weekly services. In addition to my classroom experience, I’ve provided babysitting services for families and have built lasting relationships with both children and parents. I’m confident with diaper changes, meal preparation, helping with homework, bedtime routines, managing multiple age groups, and creating fun, age-appropriate activities that keep children engaged while maintaining a structured routine. Families can count on me to be patient, dependable, organized, and attentive. I understand how important it is to earn a family’s trust, and I treat every child with the same care and respect I would want for my own family. I also have reliable transportation, making it easy to arrive on time and assist with school pickups, activities, or errands if needed.
