Hi! My name is Sierra I am currently a nursing student at Falcons Institute for Health and Science, set to graduate this year. My coursework is primarily online, which allows me to remain attentive, present, and fully focused on providing high-quality care for your child throughout the day. I have over eight years of experience working with children, including four years as a nanny. I began volunteering at my younger sister’s daycare in Brooklyn, NY as an after-school activity, which later became a paid summer position and sparked my passion for childcare. I also have professional experience as a paraprofessional and Registered Behavior Technician, supporting children with autism, intellectual and physical disabilities, asthma, and other medical or developmental needs. This background has strengthened my ability to provide calm, attentive, and medically aware care—especially important for infants. I am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified, and I am currently completing my BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. I am bilingual in English and Haitian Creole and am actively learning Spanish. I value incorporating learning into daily routines through Montessori-style play, sensory activities, creative crafts, and age-appropriate developmental stimulation, while also prioritizing emotional security, routine, and safety. I am very patient, nurturing, and energetic, enjoy being outdoors, and am comfortable caring for infants through all stages of early development. I do not smoke, am comfortable with non-aggressive pets, and can assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed. I take pride in creating a safe, structured, and loving environment, and I would love the opportunity to support your family and care for your child with intention and trust.
