About Sky

Hi families! My name is Sky, and I’m a passionate and experienced childcare provider with a strong background working with children of all ages, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and children with special needs. I have several years of experience in childcare and education, including working in preschools, school-age programs, summer camps, and as a babysitter/nanny. I’ve also worked closely with children with developmental and communication needs and have experience providing individualized, hands-on support. Most recently, I had the opportunity to work at a summer camp specifically for children with cancer and their siblings, which was an incredibly meaningful experience and further strengthened my passion for working with children. I’m currently pursuing my education with the goal of becoming a Pediatric Oncology Nurse, so caring for children is not only something I have extensive experience with, but something I genuinely love and hope to build my career around. I’m especially passionate about creating a safe, encouraging, and fun environment where children feel comfortable being themselves. As a sitter, I’m dependable, patient, attentive, and very hands-on. I’m happy to help with everything from playing and doing crafts to reading, outdoor activities, meals, bedtime routines, homework, and keeping children on their normal schedules. I believe communication with parents is extremely important, and I always want families to feel comfortable knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re with me. I am CPR certified and have experience with children ranging from infants through school age. I’m also comfortable caring for multiple children at once and adapting to different personalities, routines, and family preferences.
