I am currently finishing a Nanny position in Utah. I will be moving to Newark, Delaware in October. Hoping to find work within a comfortable commute from Newark and starting in October. I have ten years professional experience as a Nanny, Daycare Associate, and in the preschool setting. I was also an Early head start Lead teacher. I am a mom to adult children, and a grandma! I have exceptional references and am easy to interact with. I can follow instructions exactly and am very respectful of parents’ wishes. I am also self-initiated and can quickly see how to best be helpful, including setting up responsive routines that meet your child's needs in an anticipatory way. I am highly responsive and warm when meeting your child's emotional and physical needs. I love to read stories, play games, talk, and sing with little ones. I am delighted to watch them discover the world. I know that this warm, highly responsive, and predictable care helps children develop properly. I know that loving connection with a mentally present and attuned caregiver is where natural exploration blossoms and lifelong curiosity begins. Years of experience means I am never surprised by a child's behavior. I have learned that gentle guidance is always best and much more effective. Over the years I have mastered positive guidance techniques. I love Becky Bailey's Conscious Discipline and have worked hard to develop the effective skills she teaches. I am a lifelong learner. I do the hard work necessary to translate education into applied skills. I am physically very active, running daily, and hiking when I can. Since moving to Utah four years ago, I have rediscovered a passion for dancing. I enjoy a work environment that is high paced and keeps me moving! I also dabble in creating artwork for children.
