About Carrie

Hello! I'm a Country Gal, born and raised, originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in the Oregon Willamette Valley, and have a strong appreciation for the great outdoors. I started working with children 23 years ago-- first as a Teacher in English, then an Assistant Teacher to preschool ages, and then working hands-on with individual families in the role of a Nanny/Child-care Provider. I have always loved children (my own is now grown, and we are close), and as a Parent myself, I understand the concerns and challenges that parents face. I also understand that each child is unique-- in temperament, giftings, and natural inclinations. On a side-note, I am a critically-acclaimed Author, who is passionate about promoting higher education, literacy, intellectual & emotional intelligence, along with personal empowerment and enrichment. My debut novel, "The Crest of The Beast--The Oath" received acclaim from Kirkus Reviews, was featured in their Sep. 15, 2015 Magazine, and was placed on their Recommended Reading List. Additionally, I am also an Interior & Seasonal Decorator and Event Coordinator (my evenings and weekends are spent working on these, along with getting quality time in with my (almost) 20 year old Daughter. :)
