About McKayla

I have always found great honor in being trusted to care for a parent’s whole world, their child. I am very dedicated to carrying out such responsibility to the best of my ability. I began working with children when I volunteered in a church nursery program with my grandmother when I was young. This experience showed me that I have the compassionate and patient personality needed to foster young minds, which sparked my passion for kids, and I’ve stuck with it ever since! I have served the role of a nanny, after-school preschool teacher, and my personal favorite, assistant infant/toddler teacher. I love the opportunity of watching babies hit milestones and discover new aspects of the world around them. And of course, nothing beats a big baby belly laugh! As I am entering my seventh year in childcare, I am excited to return to being a nanny where I can grow as a provider and hopefully leave a long-lasting impression of kindness and servitude on the children and families I come in contact with during my time here! As a childcare provider, my philosophy is rooted in the belief that educating is not solely about providing knowledge to children, but about providing an environment where children feel seen and heard, empowered, and know they are valued. I try my best to be an active listener with my students and coworkers to gain a deep understanding of each other. By catering to the developmental and emotional needs of each child, I strive to create a classroom where learning is equally a shared and personal experience for us to navigate together!
