About Karly

I have 25 years of experience working with children as a professional nanny, daycare provider, assistant preschool teacher, and babysitter. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and have worked with many families long-term, as well as providing short-term, occasional, and date-night care. I have experience with children of all ages, but preschool and early elementary are my favorite stages—they’re curious, funny, and at such a great age for learning and exploring! My caregiving style combines child-led activities with gentle guidance, blending Montessori-inspired independence with more traditional learning. I believe in clear boundaries and consistent routines while also staying flexible to each child and family. I love being outdoors, exploring, doing hands-on projects, and letting kids get a little dirty! I also enjoy incorporating early academics through reading, educational activities, projects, homework help, and tutoring. I know basic ASL and Spanish and enjoy introducing both naturally through everyday activities. I’m professional, reliable, organized, and very clean. I’m comfortable managing children’s schedules and routines and always clean up after the kids and our activities. I’m currently looking for part-time positions, date nights, and occasional care. For regular ongoing positions, I’m primarily seeking families with children ages 3+. I’m happy to consider occasional or date-night care for younger children, but I’m not currently taking infant/toddler positions that require frequent lifting or carrying throughout the day.
