About Ava

Hi! My name is Ava, and I’m a nursing student pursuing a career in pediatric nursing. I’m passionate about working with children and creating a safe, fun, and positive environment where they feel comfortable and cared for. I have hands-on pediatric experience through my student nurse internship on a pediatric unit, where I worked alongside nurses caring for infants, children, and adolescents. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate with kids of all ages, stay calm in unexpected situations, and provide compassionate care while supporting families. In addition to my nursing experience, I have several years of childcare experience caring for children of different ages. I also taught dance for 10 years, which gave me the opportunity to mentor and encourage kids while helping them build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun. Teaching dance taught me patience, creativity, and how to connect with each child based on their unique personality and needs. Parents can count on me to be responsible, dependable, and attentive. Whether we're playing games, helping with homework, reading stories, or sticking to bedtime routines, I always strive to make children feel safe, engaged, and happy. My healthcare training also means I'm comfortable handling emergencies, following routines carefully, and prioritizing your child's well-being at all times.
