About Milinda

Hi there! My name is Millie and I’m a recent college graduate who’s new to the Ridgefield/Vancouver area! I’ve spent the last 4.5 years working at Canopy Village, a residential care facility where I supported kids and teens with a wide range of needs and ages. I love working with kids because it’s rewarding to help them feel safe and understood while having fun. I’m also an aunt to two little boys (currently 2 & 4), so I’ve got plenty of hands-on experience at home too! I’m certified in First Aid and CPR, and I’m trained in trauma-informed care, behavior de-escalation, car seat installation, and safe sleep practices (the ABCs) thanks to regular in-service trainings at Canopy Village. You can feel confident I know how to keep your kids safe and supported. I’m excited to meet families in the area and would love the chance to help out! I love planning activities that fit each child’s age and interests! • Infants: gentle interaction like tummy time, soothing, and sensory play • Toddlers: dancing, story time, and exploring the world around them through play • Preschoolers: crafts, dress-up, and fun learning games that encourage creativity • Elementary-aged kids and tweens: outdoor time, baking, building projects, board games, puzzles, or just chatting about their day :) A little about me — I’m a big cat lover, my favorite color is pink, and right now my favorite kids’ show is “Bluey.” I also love reading with kids, some of my all-time favorite books are “Matilda” and “The Wild Robot” (both the movies are really great too!). I’m really looking forward to meeting families in the area and would love the chance to help out!
