About Emily

My name is Emily T, and I am a student at University of Iowa studying biochemistry on the pre pharmacy track. I am passionate about healthcare, science, and building meaningful connections with others through supportive and service oriented work. Through my academic studies and professional experiences, I have developed strong communication, teamwork, and problem solving skills that allow me to work effectively in fast paced environments. A large part of my background has involved working with and caring for children. Having grown up helping care for younger family members and children within my community, I became comfortable taking on responsibilities such as supervising activities, assisting with daily routines, and creating a safe and positive environment. I also gained paid babysitting experience where I learned the importance of patience, reliability, and adaptability while balancing the needs of both children and parents. These experiences strengthened my ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and handle responsibilities independently. In addition to childcare experience, I have worked in customer service and other public-facing roles that have helped me become professional, dependable, and attentive to others’ needs. I enjoy working in team oriented environments, learning new skills, and contributing positively wherever I work. As I continue pursuing my career goals in pharmacy and healthcare, I am seeking opportunities that will allow me to grow professionally, gain hands on experience, and continue making a positive impact in the communities I serve.
