About Shakira

I provide loving, reliable, and attentive childcare in a safe and positive environment. I previously worked as an infant daycare teacher and have experience caring for children of different ages and developmental stages. I enjoy keeping children engaged with age-appropriate activities, helping with homework, preparing simple meals, and maintaining daily routines that support healthy habits. I currently work at a police station during the week while attending college online. My availability is open all day Friday through Sunday. On Mondays and Wednesdays, I am available after 4:00 PM. I am unavailable on Tuesdays and Thursdays because I work with another family. I am also willing to help with last-minute childcare when my schedule allows. I have my own car and a valid driver's license, making transportation reliable if needed. When children are resting or napping, I use that time to tidy play areas, clean up after meals, and help keep children's spaces organized. If there is extra time, I quietly work on school assignments while remaining attentive and available. I am patient, trustworthy, and believe strong communication is important. I keep parents updated on their child's day and am happy to assist with light housekeeping related to the children. Most importantly, I treat every child with kindness, respect, and care so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy.
