Hello! My name is Sharon, and I am a recent college graduate looking to work in DC for this year. I graduated in May with a degree in English literature, and am in the process of applying to graduate programs for August 2027! I am currently working part time for a literacy nonprofit in DC and am looking to supplement my income with another part time position. (I do not have a vehicle with me in DC, but do possess a valid drivers lisence and am quite comfortable using public transportation.) I have been babysitting since I was 15, beginning as a mother’s helper before transitioning into a full time babysitter role. I have cared for children ages 2-13, both boys and girls, as a babysitter and a nanny. While in college, I worked as a nanny for a family with 3 children for multiple summers, and during the school year, for a family with one child for weekday/weekend nights. My experience includes: transportation for children to and from school/camp/extracurricular activities, assigning chores, working on schoolwork, cooking, bed time routine, and engaging in activities which align with the family’s culture! Additionally, I have worked as a camp counselor for the YMCA summer program, working as a site lead for after-school care (1st-5th grade), and as a counselor for summer camp (3rd grade). I am enthusiastic about creating an engaging environment for children to thrive! I am warm, kind, creative, and responsible; working with children has always been a joy for me!
