About Wafa

Hi! I'm Wafa Humeida, a 25-year-old Sudanese American who speaks both English and Arabic. I come from a big family and am one of five kids, so caring for children has always been in my nature. I've worked with children since 2017 through daycares, tutoring at the library, classroom experience, and volunteer work. Since 2021, I've been a teacher's assistant and substitute teacher with Loudoun County Public Schools, working with students in elementary, middle, and high school. I enjoy creating fun, engaging, and supportive environments where kids can learn, grow, and feel comfortable being themselves. Outside of work, I'm a creative and aspiring artist. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I enjoy singing, songwriting, and playing different kinds of instruments. I'm also a skateboarding instructor and an active member of Grlswirl. Grlswirl is the biggest women-founded skate collective. I love staying active and inspiring others through skateboarding and music. I'm easygoing, patient, and quick on my feet. Working with kids has always been so fulfilling. Watching them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and physically brings me so much joy. I look forward to creating a safe, fun, and positive experience for every child and family I work with!
