About Kayla

Hi! My name is Kayla 😊 I’m so excited to connect with your family! I have been babysitting on and off throughout my teenage and adult life and have always loved spending time with kiddos. Although I don’t have kiddos of my own yet, caring for and connecting with them has always been something that brings me so much joy. After college, I had the opportunity to work as a part-time nanny for an amazing family for 8 months, where I cared for the most wonderful and outgoing 7-year-old. I also spent a year helping another family by providing transportation for their son, driving him safely to and from school and extracurricular activities. That chapter of my life shifted when I decided to return to school to pursue my Doctorate in Occupational Therapy, which I proudly completed this past May! I plan to specialize in pediatrics after completing my licensing exam, and I truly miss the fun, creativity, and energy that comes with working with kiddos. I also have lots of experience with kiddos of all ages through my own family, including my many nieces and nephews ranging from infants and toddlers to pre-teens. I am CPR certified, dependable, and caring, with a natural ability to connect with kiddos and make them feel comfortable, supported, and loved. I’m a big kid at heart. I love Disney movies, dancing, singing, and I can probably recite just about any Disney song! I love to laugh and create fun memories. I believe childhood is such a special time, and I love being someone who can bring joy, encouragement, and a sense of adventure into a kiddo’s day.
