Hi! My name is Katelynn, I’m 20 years old, originally from Fresno, and currently in school pursuing my goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. I’ve always had a passion for working with children and hope to eventually become a pediatric nurse. I’m the oldest of five, so caring for kids has always been a big part of my life. I naturally have a very nurturing and responsible personality, and I’ve always been the “motherly” one among my siblings and friends. I currently work as a respite worker and have been doing so for over a year. I care for individuals with disabilities of all ages, with most of the children I work with being under 15. Before that, I was a swim instructor for three years, primarily working with toddlers and young children. These experiences have taught me how to be patient, attentive, dependable, and comfortable working with children with different personalities and needs. I genuinely love being around kids and have always enjoyed creating a fun, safe, and positive environment for them. I’m very patient and comfortable handling big emotions, tantrums, and challenging moments. I believe every child is different, and I always try to meet them where they are while making sure they feel heard, supported, and cared for. I’m responsible, caring, and trustworthy, and I take the responsibility of caring for someone’s child very seriously. Whether it’s playing, helping with homework, keeping them on their routine, or simply being there for them while their parents are away, I truly enjoy what I do and would love the opportunity to become someone your family can rely on!
